Because We were Really Cold.

I am just going to add to my last post to say:
WE WERE FUCKING COLD TODAY.

H actually nuzzled into the back of my shoulder and whispered sadly, "Bird, I am so cold that I'm not sure what to do." I sent her to the basement--normally the coldest of places--to warm up. In fact, it wasn't until I went home for lunch and submerged myself under a down comforter that I actually felt warm. (I then took a glorious snooze. When my alarm went off, I considered what would happen if I called and told them I was staying in my bed for life. My services will no longer be needed. That I would be brewing tea by the fist-full. That I'm not coming back because my bed is my new lover. And he's oh-so-tasty.)

To deny us tea is cruel and unusual punishment. It's a job, not boot camp. We look cute with our cups of tea and our books and our doing of our jobs. THIS SHOULDN'T BE A BIG DEAL.

Geez, it's totally 'a tale of two cities' for modern times. how cute. i just wish i were a knitter.
