Super Bowl Sunday.
I've worked the past three Super Bowl Sundays. And they sucked. One year I was all alone and the phone person didn't show up and I had to answer the phones which is NOT my job. And I made mistakes and got yelled at by some bitchy guy.....wait, no, that was during the Oscars that year. Regardless, it was not fun. That was also the year they closed down Kenmore because of all the crap that went on when the Sox won the World Series. And I had to walk 25 minutes out of my way cause they wouldn't let me cross the bridge. SOOOO not a good time.
This year, the girls and I were determined to have fun. We knew that we wouldn't have a lot of customers, so we planned to bring food and magazines and perhaps watch the game a bit, because we actually have a TV now.
And it was a really fun night. There was a little bit of in-house business, enough so that I have money until I work Fri, Sat, and Sun next weekend. Which? I don't even want to think about. Because it's not going to be fun.
Anyway. We made nachos and I brought guac and homemade salsa and Katie made this delicious gooey cheese dip. And we watched some football. And caught up on celebrity gossip. And that is why Sunday is the best day at the restaurant.
The End.
