EKL will yell...
...but this is a kitty post.
Tonight Lin chased her tail. I think Charlie upped her energy, as she's been a athletic whore since he left.
Charlie has officially moved in with my sister. He was being so awful to Lin that I couldn't stand it. (And he was peeing on all the places where she sleeps-- passive-aggressive much?)
She has never been happier. She reclaimed her spot on my bed, she sleeps soundly without jerking frantically at loud noises, and my plants are safe in their window seats.
However. There is a certain amount of chaos missing. Tonight Lin did five apartment laps just for fun. When something fell in the closet, I started to say, "Char--...huh."
Things are calmer, indeed. And I do want my 14-year-old cat to be happy.
I miss that fluffy ball of energy who tapped my face with his fat paws as my alarm rang, then snuggled into my hair, trailing bits of food, litter, and dust.
But then I wake up with Lin cuddled up to my hip, quiet and clean and warm. We have a pretty chill life. And while I'll miss char-char, he's definitely my sister's cat.
We don't like messes here.
